Hi
all!
Just a quickie note - you should all be proud of
your team! They had
a spectaculr effort over the weekend, bringing
home so many medals &
trophies & ribbons that they needed boxes to
fit it all in. It was
truly a team effort, and they all pitched in
attain success! Not
only did we have multiple podium appearances
throughout the
Individual and Biathlon events, but we topped
the weekend off by
taking the Bronze in the Team event - against
very tough competition -
and did I mention we had two 12" dogs -
Target & Minnie - along with
Kayl and her 22" girlies on the Bronze
medal team? Pretty cool to so
those little guys kick some butt with some
assistance from their BC
pals.
Special applause to Marie-Pierre St-Louis and
her 12" Sheltie,
Minnie: Marie-Pierre is just 12 years old. Not
only did she win
Bronze on the Individual Gamblers class and run
well all weekend, but
she was also the anchor dog for the Canada team
that took the Bronze
medal. Pretty impressive to put in 3 fast, clean
runs under intense
pressure to help get us on the podium! I believe
Marie-Pierre is the
youngest handler to ever reach the podium at any
World Championship
event.
